The Web filtering protection incorporated in Panda GateDefender Performa allows you to block pages with dangerous or inappropriate content before they reach the corporate network. The web pages are stored in a Cobion database that contains more than 20 million URLs arranged into 58 categories. Panda GateDefender Performa saves the web filtering database locally. As in the rest of the protection modules, this database is periodically updated.
Due to the large amount of web content in the Internet, even though the web filtering protection has been configured to block access to certain pages, they might still be accessible. This problem occurs because these pages are not included in the Cobion database.
In some cases, the criteria used to classify these pages might be incorrect. For example, when accessing a page with violent content, access is blocked. However, the message displayed by Panda GateDefender Performa specifies that access to the page has been blocked because the page has pornographic content.
In both cases, send the URL of the page that has not been filtered or that has been filtered incorrectly to the following addresses.
Panda collects the comments and URLs received in this mailbox to send them to Cobion. Cobion will include the URLs in the database or correctly classify them. Finally, these modifications will be implemented in the Panda GateDefender Performa database in subsequent updates.
