It detects more malware than traditional security solutions.
Malware Radar detects more malware than traditional security solutions because it uses the most advanced technologies and the most sensitive heuristics. It is based on a “collective intelligence” approach developed by Panda Research. This system analyzes the data received by PandaLabs from the community of users and automatically returns verdicts (malware or goodware) on the new files seen by the community. This allows Panda to significantly increase its detection capacity compared to traditional anti-malware approaches.
No install required
Nothing has to be installed to use Malware Radar, nor is not necessary to maintain a permanent client-server architecture or uninstall the current network protections.
Detailed and complete reports
As a result of the scan Malware Radar provides two complete reports containing all the information on detections (what and how much malware has been detected and exactly where it is located) and the status of the security software.
An Executive Report with the primary statistics and a Technical Report with all the details on each computer scanned are provided. These reports always give the recommendations for each case from technical and objective points of view, which will help to prioritize and re-focus security strategy, taking the appropriate corrective measures.
Quick analysis of all the workstations and file servers in the IT facilities
Malware Radar provides a centralized, quick and simple scan of all the workstations and file servers in the company's IT facilities, whether they are fixed or mobile workstations or workstations that are totally separated from the network. Any of the commonly used distribution methods (Login scripts, Tivoli or SMS tools, e-mail, manual methods, etc.) can be used to distribute the analysis to all computers. If preferred, Malware Radar also offers a distribution tool from which it is quick and easy to select the network computers to be scanned and automatically distribute the scan.
Quick and easy evaluation and report on the state of the IT facilities, without consuming time or resources
From the time when the process is distributed to the computers to be scanned, everything is automatic. Online, in real time and a centralized manner, you can see how the scan is evolving, the number of malware detections and vulnerabilities and the state of the protections as well as the computers that remain to be scanned, all accomplished without installing any software on the scanned PCs.
Detecting critical vulnerabilities that are being or that may be exploited by malware
Malware Radar detects critical vulnerabilities that constitute security holes that malware exploits to gain entry to the network. In said case, the detailed reports will provide information on the vulnerabilities found and will give the solution that should be applied for each one.
Advanced malware detection, known or unknown, active or latent, which slips past protections
Malware Radar is capable of finding malware that is present in the IT facilities, whether known or unknown, for the current security solution (present or not in the signature file). This can be active (running) or latent (present but not running). This malware can slip right by your security software without being noticed because it is not known, because it is designed to remain hidden (via rootkits) or because your antivirus solution is not updated or installed on a computer.
No installation
Malware Radar is not installed on the systems it scans. When it completes the scan it removes itself, without leaving anything installed.
Detection of highly critical malware and even targeted malware (or directed malware)
Malware Radar is capable of detecting highly critical or extremely dangerous malware for your organization, and it can even find target malware (directed malware) designed to obtain economic benefit, which silently and imperceptibly steals information inflicting economic losses on its victim. These are not massive attacks, because the object is not to reach the most possible computers. Rather, it seeks only to reach the computers of its victims. The author of these types of attacks can use any type of malware to obtain their objective: Trojans, bots, spyware, etc. Most commonly, the author is a thief or a specialized spy and a third party is using its services. For this type of attacks, the traditional antivirus solutions are not sufficient.
Possibility of cleaning up the malware found
Malware Radar also offers the possibility of automatically cleaning up the malware encountered. The administrator will be able to download the cleanup client and distribute it to workstations in the network where the malware was found, using the most common distribution methods. They will also be able to use the Malware Radar distribution tool for this. Once all the workstations have been disinfected, a Technical Report will be provided with the cleanup results for each computer.
Determine the status of the protections
Malware Radar also checks the status of protections, their installation and whether they are up-to-date (Antivirus, Antispyware, Personal Firewall and HIPS (Host-Based Intrusion Prevention System); or it checks the prevention technologies based on behavior analysis.
