HOW THE BETA PROGRAM OPERATES

To take part in the Panda Antivirus Pro 2009 beta program, all you need to do is to complete the Registration Form which is available at the Product Downloads page (just follow the link at the bottom of this document).

Then you will be able to access the product download.

We also offer you additional information about product installation, bugs detected and the minimum functionality tests recommended by Panda Security.

• Check the technical requirements needed to install the product correctly . Information about installing the product on your computer to start the evaluation process.
• List of known bugs. Find out the known issues of the beta version detected in tests in our QA department.
• Tests recommended by Panda Security to ensure the product operate correctly in your working environment.
• Report of suggestions and incidents detected with the beta version.

The recommended tests are:

• Installation and uninstallation of the antivirus.
• General use of the Internet with the antivirus installed.
• Updating the product through the Internet.
• Normal working with the PC with the antivirus installed.
• Accessing the local network with the antivirus installed.
• Sending and receiving e-mail with the antivirus installed.
• On-demand scan of the PC.
• Check of antivirus reports.
• Carry out backups of hard disk files and folders on CD or DVD and restore them.
• Pay special attention to:
  • Possible slowdowns on starting up or working with the computer.
  • Computer crashes.
  • Possible issues connecting the LAN or the internet.
