My Panda Internet Security 2012 license is active but the program informs me that the license has expired and I cannot perform updates

Situation

When you renew the Panda Internet Security 2012 services, a message may appear warning you that the license has expired, even though you have correctly completed the renewal process.

Why does the message appear?

This message appears because after renewing the services, the program must contact the Panda server at least once, in order to update the license information.

Solution

You can solve this issue by upgrading your product to the latest Panda 2014. Refer to web article How can I upgrade to Panda 2014?

If you don't want to do so yet, just follow the steps below:

  1. Open Panda Internet Security 2012. To do this:

    • Click the Windows Start button
    • Select Programs
    • Click Panda Internet Security 2012
    • Click Panda Internet Security 2012
  2. In the main window, expand Updates and click License data.
  3. Click Refresh data to update your license status.
  4. Finally, check the License data section to make sure that the license expiry date has updated correctly.

Once the process is complete, the license expired warning will no longer be displayed and the product will update successfully.
