Symptoms
Error 2080 is returned when installing, updating or uninstalling the Panda Cloud Office Protection agent or protection.
Cause
This error occurs because a process has timed out during the installation, update or uninstallation of the protection:
Timeout parameters are as follows:
Protection installation-> 30 minutes
Protection uninstallation-> 10 minutes
Protection upgrade-> 30 minutes
Agent upgrade-> 2 minutes
Agent uninstallation-> 5 minutes
Incompatible protection uninstallation-> 10 minutes
Data needed to report the incident
If the problem persists, send the following data to Panda for analysis:
WalUpg configuration file. This file is in %Programfiles%\Panda Security\WaAgent\WalUpg
Protection installation log WAC_Installer.log and the agent installation log Agent_Installer.log (the latter is only generated if there is an error during an update). These files are in %Programfiles%\Panda Security\WaAgent\WalUpg
WalUpg log file –at Detail level- once the error occurs. To get it, follow the steps below:
Find the WalUpg.ini file in %Programfiles%\Panda Security\WaAgent\WalUpg
Edit the file and add the following lines:
[LOG]
LevelLog=2000
Restart the Panda Endpoint Administration Agent service.
To reproduce the error, try executing the local process. Follow these steps:
Access the %ProgramFiles%\Panda Security\WaAgent\WasLpMng folder from a DOS window
Run the command waplpmng walupg –force –continue
The WALUPG.log file generated will be saved to %Programfiles%\Panda Security\WaAgent\WalUpg
