Solution

Follow the instructions below in order to exclude elements from the scan.

NOTE: the example below covers excluding files for an individual Windows server (an Exchange server), but the procedure to exclude files for a workstation or a group of machines is the same. Just right click the appropriate container in the console.

  1. Open Panda AdminSecure console.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Expand the Windows Servers folder under My Organization (or the desired computer or group).
  4. Select and right click your Exchange server name. If you have more than one server, you may want to integrate them on a group and do these modifications for the whole group.
  5. Select Modify Settings.
  6. If you selected anything other than My Organization, you will receive a pop up asking Are you sure you want to assign its own settings? select Yes.
  7. The Edit Settings window will display.
  8. Under Windows Servers, Antivirus, click Files (or select appropriate group, as needed)
  9. Go to What to Scan tab and select Files to Scan.
  10. Under Items to exclude from scan check Exclude the following items.
  11. This will enable the Exclusions button.
  12. Click Exclusions.
  13. Add the file, folder or extension name you would like to exclude. Add the exclusions as local folder names even if they are on a different server. For Example, to exclude the exchsrvr folder in program files on the Exchange server, enter c:\program files\exchsrvr.
  14. Click Add.
  15. Once you have added all the exclusions select Ok. This will take you back to the console.
  16. The Update Settings jobs will be generated, and the new configuration sent to any affected machines.

If you do the exclusions for a group, always make sure that the child computers don’t already have their own settings, or the changes will not reach them. You can always delete the group or individual settings from the console; the parent group settings will be automatically sent to any affected machines.
