Version 1.5.1 is a maintenance upgrade from version 1.5.0 which fixes some bugs reported by the user community. The bug fixes included are the following:

- Fixed problems disinfecting certain compressed malware.
- Fixed Blue Screen of Death problem after upgrading or installing version 1.5.
- Fixed bug which prevented re-enabling autorun.

I have just upgraded to a new modem offered by Vodacom South Africa which when installing Panda picks up a virus. I did go to the outlet and was “convinced” that it only activates the virus detected flag when it shows “uninstalling files” which somehow has to do with the sms section of the modem. Is this true? My computer language is not the greatest so I am trying with my limited knowledge to explain as it was rather disconcerting to see. When I do the repair on the file then it only shows “device not found”

I’ve got a McAfee partially running (I didn’t renew, so it doesn’t update & you can’t run or retool the program at will), plus Spybot, Malaware AntiMalware, and just added Avira. Hi Raymond, Have you installed Panda USB Vaccine yet? Since these errors displayed after connecting with new equipment, it could be a USB-contracted virus. The Panda vaccine will prevent the virus from being able to operate within your system. Since modems tend to be used by many people — and even “new” equipment (purchased at deal price) is often refurbished goods (meaning, others have used it) — chances are good that Panda USB vaccine will handle any viruses that came in on the router connection by stealth. En merito a la verdad, antes de instalar el,Panda Cloud Antivirus, me pasaba bajando todo tipo de programas para proteger mi maquina de, troyanos, malaware, gusanos y cuanto bicho existe, lo unico que conseguia, llenar mi disco duro de programas, desconfigurar y poner inestable, y lento,mi CPU, al final tenia q estar formateando, adicional ala perdida de tiempo.
Desde q estoy utilizando el Panda Cloud Antivirus, me olvide de esos problemas ya no mas perdida de tiempo y sin bichos en mi maquina, para mi q no soy un experto, me parece q es muy bueno, yo lo recomdare en mi Blog; saludos y gracias a Panda por esta nueva version(adicional es gratis)…..saludos

Can you give me an example of a browser (or just Chrome) cookie being infected? I wasn’t aware that browser cookies could be infected.

@John – yes cookies can be infected and allow malware, adware, and spyware to be installed on your computer every time you open your web browser.
@Panda – Please fix the lagging with the toolbar and give us a feature to use another search instead of just yahoo. Google & MSN are other good alternatives. Also an offline scan for advanced users if needed or maybe a portable version with definition files encase the Internet connection is infected with a proxy virus also.

Its great you updated your product, but do you have to tell me about it 50 freakin times a day? I get your little pop up telling me it has been updated constantly and it does not matter if I go to your website to find out details, or click the x or disable Panda. It is REALLY ANNOYING.
Thanks Panda, I have used this software for a few years and it has always done a great job protecting my computers. I also use malwarebytes in conjunction with it. It’s great!
I really like the product but my laptop has had a major problem soon after installing Panda Cloud Antivirus. When i shut down the laptop, it has a lot of trouble restarting. The laptop goes through the normal phase of checking drives and then nothing but a black screen and the icons on the computer showing there is power. So i wait thinking maybe something is going really slow and nothing happens. Then i do a hard restart -over- and over- and over – and … After I give up and just leave the computer powered on battery only , to let the battery drain completely. Just let it sit there for an hour or so then reconnect the power cord. Now it might work or it might not. If it does not then i need to repeat the battery drain and leaving the laptop alone for an hour or so before attempting again. I have been doing this for about a week now and its getting very cumbersome.

Seriously, fix the constant pop-ups or I am going to be forced to uninstall and switch to another anti-virus. Few things are more annoying than constant notifications about something that only happened once. I have loved Panda up until now, this should not be taking days to fix, it should not have taken hours to fix.

The only issue I have had is not AV Pop-ups, but ad popups with voices right after initial install. Was driving me nuts but went away eventually went away. All is good now. Does anybody know if that is a general issue with Panda, or something specific to certain users?
As someone else said it is VERY QUIET, low resource use, and I have been infection free since installing.
I totally agree with Mark Greens comment about these annoying popups that i am getting in the name of Panda automatic updates. I have had over 100 today alone and am willing to give it another day or two before i uninstall the program! It is annoying, annoying, annoying, and…only you can fix it…

Everything about panda cloud is good, but if the pop ups keep coming then im uninstalling.
I just did a system restore on my Win 7 x64 ultimate machine and Panda did not run again, nor could I re-install it, or remove it. It seemed like it was only half installed. The start-up executable would try to run and would fail. The installation executable would run in Spanish and I couldn’t change the language to English, then the machine would bluescreen during re-installation. I then tried Revo Uninstaller and it would bluescreen the computer during the uninstallation. The only way I was able to get my computer normal again was a complete re-install of Win7. Sorry I am scared to use Panda right now… AVG free 2011 is now my antivirus.

Maybe you guys have some kinda ancient version of Panda Cloud AV ? try removing your panda cloud AV and download and install the latest version instead of upgrading your current one.

Exactly what pop-ups are you seeing? I enjoy Panda informing me of changes and found bad guys. The small unobtrusive window on the lower right goes away after a few seconds. This is in no way dangerous. What is it (if indeed that is the pop-up to which you refer) that offends? I would be more worried not to see.
DITTO NANCY…my AV updated today and the Panda won’t go away but more annoying, sits on top of all my open windows. Panda people…take a moment, acknowledge the problem and get it fixed!

i like Panda Cloud AV very much and have been using it on every computer i use that connects to internet. however, if i can ask you one thing, can you please make the next release a bit lighter cos i’m using mostly mid-end and low end computers. it’s quite heavy to load on these old computers XD
only my laptop is using windows 7, the rest of computers i’m using now can only use windows XP, with limited processors, RAMs & harddisks XD

Sad. Panda antivirus keeps breaking, requiring me to uninstall it, download and reinstall it. I go to your website, the support forum is broken, I can’t post anything, it says I need a nickname, even though I already have one. I tried to change the nickname, in case that might help, but that function is broken as well. I’m beginning to think that I shouldn’t trust my computer’s security to a company that can’t even maintain a functioning web forum. If there was any contact information on your website, I would have used it; instead I’m reduced to posting a cry for help in your blog. Sad.

I am experiencing many system shutdowns and instability problems under Win7 Ultimate. I love PandaCloud but have been forced to remove it and go to Avast until these problems are resolved in the free version 1.5.1.
I tried to apply the hotfix but was told it was not for my version. I tried to completely remove Panda and re-install, which seemed to help but system halted on Page Fault in non-paged area or PSINAFLT.sys error. When I suspend Panda, the system is stable. So long for now. Hope you guys get the bugs worked out.
