We are happy to announce the availability of Panda Cloud Antivirus version 1.4. If you are reading this after seeing a “Panda Cloud Antivirus has upgraded automatically!” message on your traybar, then you already have this latest version installed and running. If you don’t have version 1.4 installed yet you don’t have to do anything. In a few days Panda Cloud Antivirus will upgrade itself automatically.
This release is mostly a maintenance and internal bug fix release. The complete list of changes is the following:
- New notification system.
- Toolbar and URL Filtering compatibility with Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox 4.
- Fixed GUI scan progress window.
- Added “Free” or “Pro” labels on the main window to clearly differentiate what is installed.
- Fixes in translation strings.

only by scanning it i could be certain the computer was not infected

@julevine PCAV does have a real-time background scan monitor. Are you sure its installed correctly? Maybe being a public computer you’re on a limited user account and cannot see the real-time scanner monitor? Please post over at the tech support forum http://www.cloudantivirus.com/forum with the details so we can help you out.
@Otto No need to uninstall and reinstall. Simply wait a few days and Panda Cloud AV will update itself automatically and transparently.

Vielen Dank für den wunderbaren Scanner. Selbst der Windowsstart wird nicht ganz so dramatisch verlangsamt wie bei anderen Produkten. Das einzige was etwas anstrengend ist sind die ewig großen logfiles. Wozu muss jede gescannte datei eingetragen werden?. Es würde ausreichen nur die “Funde” einzutragen.

I totally disagree with your comments, I have been using Panda Cloud for over a year now and find it easy to get along with and I’ve found no viruses etc.on my PC’s since installing it, which is more than I can say for the likes of AVG etc.
I just got a strange message that Panda scanned my computer without connecting to the internet. How is that possible. I recently stopped using IE as my browser for Safari. Could this be the problem? Thank you. So far I am very happy with my Panda Cloud antivirus.

I have always used Avast but they changed so I switched to Panda and it works just as well as Avast plus my computer runs faster. Panda uses very little resources.

Thank you very much. I have both AVG Free and the Panda Cloud Antivirus Free and had observed that there are virus that would be detected by AVG but would not be detected by Cloud. Cloud also has falls positives like Winrar scanning archive files. Cloud would not allow this and prevents Winrar from scanning the archive files that I have to stop Cloud first before I could scan the Winrar archive, after which I would continue running Cloud. Hoping this had been corrected in the new version.

I have always liked panda from the first one that was offered back in the 80’s for win 95 and 98 I still use them on my old timers that i have.

muchas gracias por la actualización yo personalmente utilizo panda cloud antivirus desde su 1era version y no me a defraudado mas de 1 año ya me cambie a panda cloud despues de probar en mi pc: avast, eset, avira, entre otros pero al final me quede con panda cloud antivirus ahora en su version 1.4 el mejor de todos.
I recently installed v.1.4 and I can’t get the interface to open: it’s minimized in the toolbar but can’t restore/maximize the window to access the controls. It will scan, however, when I right-click on a file name.

I have the same problem like Lawrence Dobuzinkis, since panda updated to 1.4 i can’t open the interface, it simply minimizes itself in the taskbar.
Also when i reboot near the clock panda gives somekind of an alert like i received a message or something, and after i click on it, nothing happens except that it minimizes itself in the taskbar and the protection gets disable.
So what’s wrong?

so far,so good.Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro detected 2 trojans on my computer.I would like to ask this “trojans”, if it was really deleted on my computer.In the event log I saw this trojans detected and deleted,but in the report it has still shown Trojans(2).Can this be deleted to clear the report?

installed some time back,it is working in an excellent hassle free way,thanx to panda people
conditions in which I use Panda Antivirus so as to assess the need and materiality of my proposals. First of I was running NIS2011 and MacAffee SiteAdvisor. and
also two applications for Chrome, providing additional security (you can see
google repository). Also works a 10 CAD software and software for circuitry
for electronics, electrical engineering, energy and SCADA software with the appropriate drivers for RS232, RS485 etc., Web app, open software & project soft.
The first proposal relates to the fact that much software, supposedly free, not
is such, and often uses unlawful or on the verge of permissible methods
monetization due to spam, unauthorized user (it is not easy for user) and updates etc.
Accordingly, it is desirable to be able to specify the source in the Panda program for additional testing, as some anti-virus saying “there is a virus”, others says that it have not virus or bad code, often by using a heuristic scanner. Same goes for drivers.
Also, at boot Panda with NIS can survive for long loaded and initialized,
but I’m after a few reboots with the murder of the explorer (the main, WinXP SP3)
significantly accelerated (on the order of the boot process – first the Panda is not activated, then activates and works fine, I guess it is not necessary if an antivirus is only one available in the system, but similar in features with antivirus software is necessary to have some kind of a module optimization.
Panda also says that the software does not find bad things in the system,
but I know that for a time that I have it in the system is working,
it simply could not check all the drives, it check all process.
So I put a full scan. It is desirable to clearly distinguish viruses
in the file system and in processes.
It is very good that Panda work good with NIS2011 in full options & it give new more hight level of securety for system.
You should also pay attention to communication module to the Internet – when the channel is narrow, the connection is often broken and occupied by other programs – should ask the user to the priority of access to the Internet, warning of the possible amount needed to download data and optimize system settings for the connection.

To all who are having problems with constant update notifications: simply uninstall PCA 1.4, and then run pandas stand-alone uninstaller: http://pandasecurity.lin3sdev.com/resources/tools/Cloud_AV_Uninstaller.exe Then reboot and install a fresh copy of PCA 1.4. This update problem will be fixed in the next version (PCA 1.5)

This is my nth comment regarding this matter….August 21, 2010 I bought a Panda Pro which I have installed, with activation code …………66119009, working correctly. Then , in 27/12/2010 I bought another Panda Pro licence which I have not been able to install because I get a messagen saying “incorrect activation code”. In the mean time I have been using the free edition…….That activation code was XXXX59-66136299. YOU HAVE NEVER TOLD ME WHAT TO DO, OR HAVE YOU ANSWERED MY REQUEST IN ANY WAY…..

Is there an instruction guide of some sort. It doesn’t seem like Panda Cloud is working. It’s installed but I have not found the “on button”. This is my first computer. It’s old (1.1Ghz) and crashes periodically. I’m hoping to use it to help with school but first I will have to fix whatever is wrong with this comp. I’m assuming it has some kind of malicious software on it as it came with a variety of programs and IE8 pinned to the start menu. Please help.

Muito Bom ! Panda tem sempre me mantido protegido,mesmo quando acredito que não vai achar nada, lá está ele identificando algum virus ou malware, e olha que uso a versão gratuita.
