9/30/2008. Panda Security, Europe’s leading IT security firm, has bought its franchise operation in Germany, a business that has been operating successfully in the country since 2000. This move, in addition to a recent similar operation in Benelux, is part of the company’s strategic investment plan to reinforce its presence and expansion in strategic markets.
The company has offices in Düsseldorf, Munich and Hamburg and the team that has been responsible for developing the German market until now will continue to work from these centers.
Panda Security now has seven subsidiaries across three continents: USA, Spain, France, Germany, Japan, Holland and Belgium. It also has a franchise network covering more than 50 countries.
According to Juan Santana, Panda Security CEO: “Over the last five years, our German partners have made great progress in penetrating the SMB sector of the national market. After this operation, Panda will have a firm base from which to boost its growth even more in this country. We have extremely positive expectations for this market”.
Panda Security’s international expansion strategy, which has seen it become a global reference in IT security, continues to be a priority for the company. “We will continue to buy our franchises in strategic markets where we can maximize growth opportunities for the Group. Similarly, we will continue working with our network of more than 50 local partners in other markets, and look for partners in the few remaining countries in which we are not present. This formula has been the backbone of our success in the past, and is a key principle for the future”.
