Search Tips

If you would like to optimize your search, follow these practical tips.

Interactive Troubleshooter
  • Select the Panda Solution you need help with. The system will guide you with easy to follow instructions until you find the answer to your question.
  • Some Panda solutions contain various products. For this reason the system will ask which product you need help with: select the one you have installed in your system.
  • Select the topic that you need more information on, and the type of action you would like to perform. You will then be given a selection of help topics, which will help you to solve the majority of problems sent to our Technical Support department.
  • If there are too many results, refine your search by using the results returned to search again. This option will allow you to look for words or phrases within the results obtained and help you find the answer to your inquiry.

This option functions in the same way as the Knowledge Base. Check the tips in the Knowledge Base if you would like more information.

  • The most common questions and those with special interest will be displayed in the Frequently Asked Questions section, which is displayed when navigating the Interactive Troubleshooter.

Searching the Knowledge Base
  • To search the Knowledge Base, simply enter one or various words related to your search and click on the Search button.
  • The Knowledge Base will display the FAQs that include the terms entered in the search. If you would like to reduce the number of results, you can search again, adding more specific terms to the previous ones.
  • Another form of filtering the number of results is to search for a phrase or expression. Phrases are included in the search by using quotation marks. For example, "How to perform a scheduled update", will look for all of the FAQs that contain this phrase.
  • You can exclude a word in a search by using a minus sign ("-") immediately before the word you would like to exclude.
  • On the other hand, using a plus sign ("+") before a word indicates that you would like to include the word in the search. Any word without a sign in front of it will be treated as if it has a "+" sign in front of it.
  • If various words with signs are included in the search you should separate them with a blank space.
  • Below is a sample search using various terms: If you would like to search for all the FAQs that include the word "virus" but do not wish to include the word "worm", you can use any of the following options:
    • +Virus -worm
    • virus -worm
  • Uppercase and lowercase letters are not distinguished. All letters, no matter how they are written, are considered lowercase. For example, searching for "Virus", "VIRUS" or "ViRus" will return the same results
  • The FAQs for all Panda solutions will be searched by default. If you would like to refine the search, select the specific solution that you have purchased and the corresponding FAQs for this solution will be displayed.
