During installation of Internet Explorer 7, the default search engine included in the security solution’s browser settings is changed. As a result, when the Internet Explorer settings protection, integrated within the security solution anti-spyware protection, detects the modification, it interprets it as a hijack attempt and shows a pop-up warning to notify the user. The pop-up warning allows users to deny or allow the change detected.
- If you want to keep the search engine settings, check the option Deny the modification this time only.
- If you want to include the new search engine in the Internet Explorer settings protection, select the option Allow modification this time only.
Selecting one option or the other will not affect the correct functioning of your new browser.
If no option is selected after 30 seconds, the security solution will take the default action, which, in this case is to block the operation as this warning corresponds to that of a typical malware attack.
