Since I have installed Panda Titanium Antivirus 2005 I cannot perform Windows update, what should I do?

At times, the antivirus component in charge of scanning the Internet traffic can block the operating system´s update download and performance. Such updates are downloaded from windowsupdate.microsoft.com

In order to resolve this conflict, simple apply the following hotfix: hfT50504s8.exe

Steps to apply the hotfix

1. Download the hfT50504s8.exe (417 KB) file by clicking on the icon below:
   
2. Save the file to your hard disk, to the Windows Desktop for example.
3. Close the antivirus program and run the downloaded file.
4. Once the hotfix has been applied, update the operating system and verify the incident is resolved.
