Brief Description 

    

Shutdown is a joke type malware. These harmless programs display fake error messages on screen warning about the execution of destructive actions, fake these actions or change the mouse or screen settings.

To be more precise, Shutdown displays a fake shut down Windows screen. This screen is exactly the same as the original one for the Windows operating system installed in the system, but it only allows its Yes or OK buttons to be pushed.

When the user clicks this button, the screen goes black for 8 seconds, and then it displays a window that tells it was only a joke.

Shutdown is easy to recognize once it is executed, as it displays the following messages on screen:
