Mydoom.R is a worm that opens several ports and listens to them. It allows hackers to remotely access the computer, in order to carry out actions that compromise user confidentiality or impede the tasks performed.
Additionally, Mydoom.R prevents the user from accessing the websites belonging to several antivirus companies.
Mydoom.R reaches the computer in an e-mail message with the subject photos and an attached file called PHOTOS_ARC.EXE. When the attached file is run, Mydoom.R downloads and runs the backdoor detected by Panda Security as Bck/Surila.B.
