Sdbot.BL is a backdoor type Trojan that allows a hacker to carry out the following actions, among others: redirect ports, download and run files, scan ports, update the backdoor, launch denial of service (DoS) attacks and send the backdoor to other IRC channels.
When the attached file is run, Sdbot.BL goes memory resident and connects to an IRC channel.
Sdbot.BL mainly spreads via e-mail and IRC chat channels.
Sdbot.BL is difficult to identify, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has reached a computer.
If network shares are disabled or if certain programs that are running on the computer stop for no apparent reason, Sdbot.BL might have reached the computer.
