Alor is a backdoor type Trojan that allows an attacker to gain remote access to the affected computer.
A hacker who managed to gain remote access to the victim computer would be able to:
- Access confidential information stored on the computer.
- Open and close the CD-ROM or DVD tray.
- Enable or disable Windows Task Manager or restart the computer using the key combination CTRL + ALT + DEL.
Alor is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any warnings or messages that indicate that it has reached a computer. An indication that Alor may have reached a computer is the CD-ROM or DVD tray opening and closing for no apparent reason.
