Doahi is a Trojan that does not have any destructive effects, which shuts down the affected computer. When this Trojan has reached a computer, the affected machine could enter a loop, as Doahi is run everytime Windows is started and then the Trojan shuts down the computer.
Doahi does not use any specific means to spread. It can reach computers through the normal means used by viruses: e-mail messages with infected attachments, computer networks, CD-ROMs, Internet downloads, FTP, floppy disks, etc.
Doahi is easy to recognize, as it reaches computers in a file with the following icon:
When Doahi is run, it displays the following oval shaped form on screen:
If the user clicks on the ????? button in this form, Doahi shuts down the affected computer or sometimes displays a second message:
However, even if the user does not click on the ????? button, the computer will shut down after 15 seconds.
