Brief Description

Inwi is a Trojan designed to obtain information from affected computers and send it out via e-mail. It also modifies the system settings, which allow it to:

  • Change the Internet Explorer home page.
  • Activate every time a file with extensions EXE or TXT is opened.

Visible Symptoms

Inwi replaces Internet Explorer's home page with the following: http://ajim.delphibbs.com. The fact that this web page is set as the browser's home page is a clear indication of this worm on the affected system.
