Brief Description 

    

Seeker is a Trojan that causes the following effects:

  • It changes the start page and the search page in Internet Explorer and Netscape.
  • It adds several pages to the Favorites folder.
  • It opens an Internet Explorer window with the title X and the following text: S3 !]]%%%%%WW.

It is easy to get infected with Seeker because it uses several means of transmission to spread: e-mail messages, computer networks, FTP file transfers, CD-ROMs, Internet downloads, floppy disks, etc.

Visible Symptoms 

    

A change in the start and search page in Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers is the first indication of the presence of Seeker on the computer.

Seeker, opens a browser window with the title X and the following text: S3 !]]%%%%%WW.
