CTX is a resident and polymorphic virus that infects certain PE files that are stored in the directory where it was run and in the Windows and System directories.
Some of the files it infects may stop working. As these files are vital for the correct functioning of the system, errors may be returned in the affected computer after the virus has caried out its infection.
It is important to highlight that CTX only affects computers with the following Windows operating systems installed: NT/98/95.
CTX is difficult to identify, as it does not display any warnings or messages that indicate that it has infected a computer.
