Wow.VM is a Trojan that steals confidential information related to certain online games such as World of Warcraft.
Then, it sends the gathered information to certain websites, so that its creator can access it.
Wow.VM does not spread automatically using its own means. It needs an attacking user's intervention in order to reach the affected computer. The means of transmission used include, among others, floppy disks, CD-ROMs, email messages with attached files, Internet downloads, FTP, IRC channels, peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing networks, etc.
Wow.VM is easy to recognize, as it reaches the computer in a file with the name LOVE.JPG. When it is run, the following picture is displayed:
