Brief Description

Exchanger.AH is a Trojan which downloads the adware program detected as RogueAntimalware2008 to the affected computer. It is a fake antivirus which warns users of unexisting threats in the computer.

Exchanger.AH reaches the computer in an email message about Paris Hilton. However, it does not spread automatically by its own means.

Visible Symptoms

Exchanger.AH is easy to recognize, as it reaches the computer in an email message with the following characteristics:

  • Subject:
Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan comment on Paris Hilton's Childish Behavior
  • Message: the message contains two links, a link to a picture of Paris Hilton and a link to a video.
The link to the picture really contains a picture of Paris Hilton. However, the link to the video does not contain a video but a malicious file.
