Peregar.C is a Trojan designed to download a fake antivirus in the computer, which warns users of unexisting threats in the system. In order to eliminate them, the user is requested to purchase a certain program.

Peregar.C does not spread automatically by its own means.

Visible Symptoms 

    

Peregar.C is easy to recognize, as it displays the following symptoms:

  • When it is run, it opens an Internet Explorer window which displays the results found after having searched for the text "Youtube download" through the Google searcher:

  • Then, whenever the user opens the Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer, it displays a message warning the user that the computer is infected:
