Netol is a worm that spreads through IRC chat channels.
The file that carries out the infection is always called NETOL.SRC. This file passes itself off as a screen saver, whereas it is actually the virus.
The effects of Netol are more annoying than damaging, as its only actions it carries out are to display an error message on screen and spread through IRC.
Netol is easy to recognize as:

- When this file is run, it displays the following error message on screen:
