Intruder is an MS-DOS virus that infects executable files with an EXE extension. This is a direct action virus, that is, it infects the computer inmediately, attacking other programs.
It is very easy to get infected by Intruder, as it spreads through any of the means normally used by viruses: floppy disks, CD-ROMs, e-mail messages with infected attachments, Internet downloads, FTP, etc.
Intruder is easy to recognize, as when it infects the computer, it emits a siren-like sound through the speakers of the affected computer.
