Mitglieder.LH is a Trojan that attempts to download and run a file from different websites on the affected computer. This file belongs to a variant of the worm Bagle, which sends a copy of Mitglieder.LH via email.
Mitglieder.LH does not spread automatically using its own means. It needs an attacking user's intervention in order to reach the affected computer. The means of transmission used include, among others, floppy disks, CD-ROMs, email messages with attached files, Internet downloads, FTP, IRC channels, peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing networks, etc.
Mitglieder.LH is easy to recognize, as it displays the following screen when it is run:
The items on the screen belong to the executable files that the user has in the Desktop. If any of them is selected, an error message with the text Incorrect file version Error will be displayed.
