Brief Description

Dengis.A is a virus that infects Matlab source files, using the prepending method, this is, by adding its own code to the beginning of the code of the original file.

Matlab is a program used to solve mathematical problems; its source files have an M extension.

Dengis.A does not spread using its own means, but it infects other files. It reaches computers when these infected files are distributed, which can enter computers through any of the typical means of tranmission, which include, among others, floppy disks, CD-ROMs, email messages with attached files, Internet downloads, FTP, IRC channels, peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing networks, etc.

Visible Symptoms

Dengis.A is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
