WmaDownlder.B is a Trojan that downloads and installs the adware detected as ISTbar on the affected computer.
WmaDownlder.B takes advantage of a technology of Microsoft's Windows Media Player, called Windows Media Digital Rights Management (DRM). This technology has been developed in order to protect multimedia content that holds intellectual rights.
This Trojan reaches the computer in a license-protected multimedia file. When the user attempts to view it, WmaDownlder.B connects to an URL in the domain drm.ysbweb.com and downloads the adware to the system.
However, WmaDownlder.B downloads it only if Windows Media Player 9 or later is installed on the affected computer.
