ExeFolder.E is a worm that makes copies of itself in different folders of the computer using the same names as these folders. Additionally, it displays annoying messages at the top of the screen and modifies the window title of the programs and folders accessed by the user. ExeFolder.E spreads making copies of itself with the name NEWFOLDER.EXE in the removable devices connected to the computer, like USB keys. |

ExeFolder.E is easy to recognize, as it displays the following symptoms: - When it is run, it displays a message at the top of the screen which changes from time to time:
 - When users open any folder or program, it modifies the text of the window title, changing it to a random text. For example the following:
 - Additionally, it creates copies of itself in certain folders of the C: drive with the same name as these files and with the icon of a folder in order to deceive users. The following example belongs to the Documents and Settings folder:
