(On November 29, 1924, Giacomo Puccini died)

Madrid, November 29, 2007 – Several vulnerabilities have been reported in Mozilla Firefox that could be exploited by malicious users to carry out cross-site request forgery attacks and compromise users’ PCs.

One of the flaws affects the XBL component and could be used by attackers to cause memory corruption errors and run arbitrary code on affected computers.

These vulnerabilities have been reported in several versions. More information is available at http://www.mozilla.org/security/announce/2007/mfsa2007-38.html and http://www.mozilla.org/security/announce/2007/mfsa2007-39.html.
