How can I activate the product services of my antivirus product?

Activating your antivirus is essential for you to enjoy the program daily updates, Tech Support Service and be able to send suspicious files to PandaLabs, among other features.

The activation process varies depending on the product installed.

Activating 2013 antivirus products

You can activate your 2013 product through the activation wizard displayed when you restart your computer, when you open the program after having installed it, or through the pop-up reminders.

1. Select one of the options displayed in the wizard:
   
   
   
   • Activate the trial version: this is a trial version. To activate it, simply click Next and your trial version will automatically activate itself.
   • Activate my paid version now: this is the release version which will require you to enter the activation code.
     • If you have a CD, you will find the activation code on the CD envelope.
     • If you bought the product online, you will have received the activation code via email.
2. Click Next. The following screen is displayed:
   
   
   
3. Enter the data requested by the wizard:
   1. Your email address (mandatory).
   2. Your client number (optional). You only need to enter this data if you are already a Panda Security client. This will allow you to extend your contracted service period.
      
      If you cannot remember your client details, go to the Password Reminder section of the web.
   3. Select country. Make sure the country selected is correct.

Activating 2012 antivirus products

You can activate your product through the activation wizard displayed when you restart your computer, when you open the program after having installed it, or through the pop-up reminders.

Follow the steps below:

1. A window is displayed with the following options:
   
   
   • Try it free for 30 days: A 30-day trial version.
   • Activate my paid version now: Release version. This is the default option. To activate it, enter the activation code you received on buying the product.
     
     
     • If you have bought the product in a store you will find this code attached to the product box or CD envelope.
     • If you have bought it on the Internet, you will have received this code via email after completing the purchase.
2. Then, enter the following data:
   
   
   • Your email address (mandatory): Your client details will be sent to this address once you complete the activation process.
   • Your client number (optional): If you are already a Panda Security client, enter your client number.

3. Click Next.
4. A connection is established with Panda’s server. Once the activation process finishes, the following message is displayed: Your antivirus product has been successfully activated.
5. Click Finish or Register if you want to register the product (optional).

Activating 2011, 2010 and 2009 antivirus products

You can activate your product either through the pop-ups displayed once your product is installed or after installing the product, go to the Help menu in the main window of the program and click Activate the product.

What data must I provide for the activation?

To complete the activation process, you need the following data:

• Your email address: Make sure you enter your email address correctly, otherwise you will not receive important information.
• Activation code: This is the code that lets you activate the product. If you have bought the product in a store you will find this code in the product box or CD envelope. If you have bought it on the Internet, you will have received this code via email after completing the purchase.
• Client number: You only need to enter this data if you are already a Panda client. This will allow you to extend your contracted service period.
