Brief Description 

    

Rimecud.E is a worm which downloads malware to the affected computer from certain websites. The malware it downloads is designed to send spam messages and to download more malware.

Rimecud.E uses the following means to spread:

  • it copies in the folders belonging to several P2P file sharing programs, such as Bearshare and eMule.
  • the instant messaging program MSN Messenger.
  • it copies in the removable drives of the system.

Visible Symptoms 

    

Rimecud.E is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
