Computerworld award for technological innovation 2005


Panda Software has been given the most prestigious technology award, presented every year by ComputerWorld, the specialist weekly IT magazine.

Awards ComputerWorld, the specialist IT magazine belonging to the IDG Communications editorial group, presents annual awards for technological innovation, which are some of the most prestigious of their kind in the sector. On this occasion, the award ceremony was held on June 8 during the fourth edition of the IT Forum for large organizations, which enjoys the support of Cisco, HP, Microsoft and the collaboration of Softec.

According to the organisers, “This award is recognition of the organisation in the Basque Country that is most committed to modernisation of its structures or management processes, using information technologies as the focal point for its efforts, achieving perfect alignment between business needs and technological investment, which has positioned Panda Software as a reference point in the world of security ”.

In addition to the award given to Panda Software, which was received by our general manager Ainhoa Aguirre, awards were also given to the University of the Basque Country and three Municipal Information Technology Centre of San Sebastián.

The presentation of awards also included a roundtable in which Ainhoa Aguirre put forward Panda’s point of view on technological innovation and highlighted how the progression of IT has facilitated, among other things, that our company is in the leading position it now ocupéis.
